The past Saturday-Sunday Delhi was coloured in the vibe of Diljit Dosanjh. His high-energy performance made everyone go crazy. He kickstarted his India leg of the Dil-Luminati Tour with a two-day performance in Delhi, and wow what a start. The social media is packed with appreciation posts and glimpses of the Delhi concert. Though the music and performance of Diljit are appreciated by one and all, there are a few attendees, who mentioned how the logistical issues at the venue created a mess and led to a disappointing experience.
A fan who attended the first day of the concert in Delhi, mentioned a girl nearly passed out and was taken to hospital due to the chaotic conditions at the venue. “A girl nearby passed out, and no one from the staff came to help her. Eventually, she was taken to the FIRST AID and then to hospital, but this happened before the concert even started. Felt like a serious lack of organization and concern for safety,” read the post of the fan on X.
He further said that he bought Gold Pit tickets worth Rs.15000 and the concert was not value for money. He wrote, “Diljit was amazing, but his concert was not. Even after paying so much, we were left waiting endlessly. The gates didn’t open until 5:30 PM, and then the concert didn’t start until 8 PM. From 5 to 7 PM, it was just random Zomato and Kingfisher ads with no opening act.”
His post also described how the washroom conditions for women were inappropriate with poor lighting and foul odor.
In a series of subsequent posts, he pointed out the mismanagement of the food and beverage counter. He mentioned that for thousands of fans, there were only two counters that ultimately led to total chaos.
The user concluded the post saying, “Overall, Diljit’s performance was great. He’s truly a vibe. But the concert experience was poorly organized and definitely not worth the price tag. The management could have been much, much better.”
Several other social media users agreed with his statement. Reposting the tweet, one of the netizens wrote – “#DiljitDosanjhconcert Not the first post I read about terrible experience during the concert. So many of my friends went have the same feeling, Filthy washroom Delay start bt finish on time 😂Long queue fr food nd 🧃 I hope @diljitdosanjh can plan his show wt a better company”
Another internet user wrote – “100% agree w all points. His performance was insane and so good but the organisation was bad. So much money lost in the card when they stopped accepting it. End the queues to get in kept getting longer. We waited to get inside for hours and hours.”
