Yes, You read it right! veteran actor Farida Jalal recently revealed how ‘Special 26’ star reads his dialogues off a whiteboard mounted behind a camera on set.
Farida Jalal, who has shared the screen with Akshay Kumar in several films, was asked about Bhumi Pednekar’s revelation that Akshay reads his dialogues off a whiteboard mounted behind the camera.Farida confirmed this, saying, “It’s true. He wasn’t like that before.”
The senior actress further mentioned that she had worked with Akshay in many films, including “Elaan,” “Aflatoon,” and “Dil To Pagal Hai,” and he was not like that at all back then. She explained that now, after doing so many films, winning numerous awards, and delivering countless dialogues, it happens. She added that Akshay should be given some leeway because otherwise, he is so perfect. She remarked that it is a talent how he reads his dialogues without it being noticeable.
Farida expresses her admiration for Akshay, saying that she wouldn’t be able to read dialogues and act simultaneously, but he manages to do it well. She commended him, saying he deserves praise for his ability to perform this challenging task effectively.
Previously, Bhumi Pednekar had revealed Akshay reads dialogue from cue cards while shooting, which she described as Akshay’s “talent” and “art.”
When asked if a person is holding a board behind the camera, Bhumi mentioned that somewhere on set, there is a person subtly present, and one may not even realise it. She pointed out that Akshay knows his lines, often having rehearsed them with her before.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar’s next film is ‘Singham Again’, directed by Rohit Shetty, The film, which is the third instalment from the ‘Singham’ series, will feature an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Akshay Kumar has recently finished shooting ‘Jolly LLB 3’. He also has ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ in the pipeline.
