In a recent promotional interview, director Harish Shankar made an intriguing comment that piqued the interest of fans.He openly suggested that viewers watch the original Hindi film ‘Raid’ before seeing ‘Mr. Bachchan’. According to a report by 123Telugu Harish Shankar said, “I will be happy if people watch Raid before watching Mr. Bachchan. That way, the audience can understand to what extent we made the changes, and their respect towards me will increase.”
He also added, “If people watch Mr. Bachchan without seeing Raid, they might think I have done a scene-by-scene remake. Hence, I request the audience to watch Ajay Devgn’s Raid before stepping into Mr. Bachchan’s theatres.”
‘Mr. Bachchan’ follows the storyline like the original, with Ravi Teja stepping into the shoes of a determined government official who takes on corrupt politicians and others involved in shady dealings. The film draws heavy inspiration from ‘Raid’ but adds a Telugu twist, promising a fresh take on the story while retaining the core elements that made the original so compelling.
The film also marks the Telugu debut of Bhagyashri Borse, who plays the female lead. Additionally, veteran actor Jagapathi Babu is set to portray the main antagonist, a character who clashes with Ravi Teja.
