With the Bollywood film now pushed back, the path has been cleared for ‘Joker 2’ to take centre stage during the extended holiday weekend in India.
‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘Joker’, which saw Joaquin deliver an Oscar-winning performance as the troubled Arthur Fleck. In the sequel, Phoenix reprises his role, joined by Lady Gaga, who is set to play Harley Quinn, adding a new layer of intrigue to the film’s dark and twisted plot set within Gotham City‘s Arkham Asylum.
The update in the release date came with new character posters featuring grim looks at Phoenix and Gaga. With its early release, ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ will now be released exactly 5 years after the Oscar-nominated ‘Joker’ released in 2019.
