‘Singham Again’ had a great weekend as it crossed Rs 120 crore at the box office in the span of three days. The film had a wider release and it clashed with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and while both the movies are performing almost at part with each other, they did not really run into each other’s business. Infact, they gave a spectacular combined collection over the Diwali weekend which broke the previous benchmark record which was set during the release of ‘Animal’ and ‘Sam Bahadur’.
‘Singham Again’ passed the Monday test as it made Rs 18 crore and this was considered good, despite that this drop was almost of 45 per cent as compared to the Sunday number which was around Rs 35 crore. On Tuesday, it saw an even more downfall from Monday and made Rs 13 crore. As long as the movie maintains the double digit number, all through the week, it would be good. The total collection of ‘Singham Again’ so far is Rs 153.25 crore net in India, according to Sacnilk.
In some areas like Maharashtra, ‘Singham Again’ has performed better than ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ but in the eastern regions and some other centres, the Kartik Aaryan starrer has given the movie a tough competition as it has also crossed Rs 130 crore in the span of 5 days. Thus, it’s just lagging behind ‘Singham Again’ by Rs 20 crore.
There are no other big releases coming up so, it’s just likely that both the movies will continue to dominate the box office in the coming week and on the upcoming weekend as well.
