Tanuj Virwani, the son of veteran actress Rati Agnihotri, who has showcased his versatility through various interesting projects, including ‘Luv U Soniyo’, ‘Yodha’ and others, has opened up about his journey and reflected on the highs and lows of his career.
In an interview with Free Press Journal, Tanuj Virwani Tanuj shared that when he entered the industry, he was naive and believed that success would come easily due to his mother’s fame as a successful actress. However, he quickly realized that the reality was quite different, as the audience ultimately decided which films or shows to watch.
The actor admitted to being somewhat complacent and not taking his work seriously enough, leading to rejections. Tanuj noted that even the best actors face rejection multiple times because casting directors and directors need to visualize a particular role, and not every actor can fit every role. He concluded that rejection is beneficial as long as it is not taken too seriously.
Tanuj shared that his mother always advised him never to take failure to heart, but also not to let success go to his head. She emphasized the importance of recognizing that each new day brings more opportunities, which is the beauty of the industry.
The actor admitted that he has learned from his mistakes, explaining that not everything will work out as hoped when doing different projects. Tanuj acknowledged facing his share of rejections, failures, and flop movies, but he believes these experiences are valuable. If everything one touches turns to gold, the value and hunger might diminish. Therefore, he feels it’s crucial to think outside the box, be brave, and try new things, even if it means falling and learning from mistakes.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tanuj will be next seen in a show with KK Menon. He also has a rom-com Divya Agarwal and the second season of Rana Naidu.
