In an old interview, sharing tips on how to manage relationships with your better half, Akshay Kumar spoke candidly about his relationship with wife Twinkle Khanna. Belonging to the list of one of Bollywood‘s favorite couples, the couple rarely shares their personal life with the public, but their connection is no less valued.
Reflecting on the differences of Akshay with Galataa India, he said, “Me and my wife are very different.We’re poles apart. She thinks left, I think right. It’s completely different. Only thing which is common is we like to sleep early, and we like to wake up early. There is another thing which we like is playing Rugby or Ludo. Rest of the things we think are completely different.”
He elaborated further explaining the respect, saying that a perfect mate may have 36 qualities alike but it’s okay if 35 out of those cannot match ,and all the core aspects of respect align. The philosophy would make the bonding strong because as things would go on, differences would coexist peacefully if the couple took care of mutual respect.
Humor added to the conversation, popular columnist and Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna shared a vacation tale about a pair of birds called tik-tik. The two birds are such an extreme lover boy and girl that upon one’s death, the other is known to take its own life too. Twinkle, in the lighter vein, told Akshay, “I told my husband (Akshay), ‘Acha (listen), if I die first, you better eat poisonous grass too. If I see your second wife walking around with my handbags, I promise I will come and haunt you both,” she wrote. In response to this, the actor humorously replied that he wanted to eat that poisonous grass that very moment so that he doesn’t have to “listen to all this nonsense.”
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s association along with life not only brings out beautiful humor blended with mutual respect but also shows them embracing each other with all differences and possibly their base in the supportive and loving environment, still a long-lasting bond. On the work front Akshay was last seen in the film ‘Khel Khel Mein‘ which was released in theatres on August 15, 2024.
