Lal Bahadur Shastri ji’s name has been written in golden letters in the history of India. He had left his studies in the middle to serve the country. He participated in many movements with Gandhiji, after which he had to go to jail several times. After India’s independence, he was unanimously elected as the second Prime Minister of India. He gave the famous slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, on this page we are telling about the speech given by Lal Bahadur Shastri.


Lecture

Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 2 October 1904 in Mughal Sarai district of Uttar Pradesh state. He was the second Prime Minister of India, during his tenure there was a war between India and Pakistan in the year 1965. Many provinces of Pakistan were captured by the Indian army in the war. Those provinces were left by India after the Tashkent Agreement. The famous slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan was given by Lal Bahadur Shastri.


Lal Bahadur Shastri’s father’s name was Sharda Prasad and mother’s name was Ramdulari Devi. His father was a teacher earlier, but later he joined the job as a clerk in the Income Tax Department. When Lal Bahadur Shastri was one year old, his father died.


His initial upbringing was done in his maternal grandmother, from there he had received education till class six, after which Varanasi was sent to his uncle for further education.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was very much influenced by Mahatma Gandhi. He actively participated in the non-cooperation movement run by Gandhiji. He left his studies in this movement.


After this he studied philosophy from Kashi Vidyapeeth for four years. After successful completion of studies, the title of “Shastri” was given.


Wanted to get independence for the country, so he joined the National Congress Party. He contributed a lot to the party and went to jail several times, in view of his sacrifice and sacrifice, he was appointed the general secretary of the party.


After the death of the first Prime Minister of India, Shri Jawaharlal Nehru, the party unanimously elected him as the second Prime Minister of India.


On January 10, 1966, after the Tashkent Accord, he suffered a heart attack and died during the night. Today he is not among us, but his inspiration is with us, we all Indians will remain indebted for the contribution made by him till the ages.

As Prime Minister

Lal Bahadur Shastri ji led the country efficiently as the Prime Minister. Due to his efficient leadership, the Indian Army defeated Pakistan in the year 1965. It was he who gave the slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan to unite India in the thread of unity.


Death

After defeating Pakistan, India and Pakistan agreement was signed in Tashkent on 10 January 1966 in the mediation of Russia, in the same night Lal Bahadur Shastri suffered a heart attack and died. In this way a red Indian fell into a deep sleep forever. India will always be indebted for his contribution.
